The new studio is designed as a space for professional collaboration as well as a visual reflection of the residential focus of the practice. The existing raw space allowed for a complete reimagination to reflect both the functional needs of the studio with open, yet defined working and private zones with the aesthetic nature of a private residence. A flexible and collaborative conference room allows for team meetings and client presentations. The walnut millwork encases the studio, regularizing the structural grid and allowing for functional storage and operational requirements. The 10’ + ceiling height offers a lofty space concealing the mechanical system, lighting in alignment with the existing picture windows with open views out to 57th Street.
